The tale of Casino Gitano began on the 13th of June 2002.That day a charity concert for the street artist Logo Lard was staged in Berlin¹s Tacheles. Logo had been suffering from Guillain-Barre Syndrome, which at some point had forced him into a coma.
The brothers Sancho and Pancho grabbed their acoustic guitars and summoned singer Ivana, the tap-dancing Rodriguez sisters and Eddy Egalthe Cajonist onto the stage. Together they proceeded to overwhelm the audience with their Gipsy-Jazz music, and in particular with their song Logololailo, written in honour of their ill friend.

Die Geschichte von Casino Gitano begann am 13. Juni 2002. Im Berlner Tacheles fand ein Soli-Konzert für den Berliner Straßenkünstler Logo Lard statt, der am Guillian-Barré-Syndrome erkrankt war und einige Zeit im Koma gelegen hatte.
Die Brüder Sancho und Pancho Gitano griffen sich ihre akustischen Gitarren und gemeinsam mit Sängerin Ivana, den steppenden Rodriguez Schwestern und Eddy Egal an der Cajonbegeisterten sie das Publikum mit einigen Gypsie-Jazz-Stücken und ihrem Song Logololailo, den sie extra für ihren erkrankten Freund geschrieben hatten.

Love that horse & guitar...what a vision...Man this is more movin' than travelling in a Mercedes Benz at 140 in Spain. Love the vocals how they stand out so well...great groove, nice guitar so tasty, and what sounds like vibetone or xylophones; you got a real orchestra hear-even with footsteps on the hrad floor...Love that brass additions.Great percusives. It just movesssssssssssssssssssssssssss...

The musicians of Casino Gitano have shaped Berlin’s music scene for many years. Like a chameleon, Casino Gitano constantly reinvents itself. Returning to their musical roots as grunge and punk musicians of the early '80s and '90s, they combine elements of Gypsy, swing, jazz and flamenco with punk influences.
We are happy to present their concert at Lido on September 09! Be prepared for stomping Gypsy Polka rhythms, melodic Balkan beats, and a live performance full of vitality and energy!
After the show Robert Soko together with Uros Petkovic will share some more musical ecstasy to the crowd!
